Cristiane Kiyomi Miyaji Kolesnikovas

Veterinarian

She holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of São Paulo (1991) and a master's degree in Experimental and Comparative Pathology from the University of São Paulo (1997).

She holds a PhD in Experimental and Comparative Pathology from the University of São Paulo (2003) and a postdoctoral degree in environmental virology from the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2007). Currently, she is the president and researcher veterinarian at the R3 Animal Association in Florianópolis. She coordinates the Beach Monitoring Project of the Santos Basin Phase in Florianópolis, focusing on beach monitoring and marine animal rehabilitation. She collaborates with the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation, assisting with the response to marine mammal strandings and conducting research in coastal marine conservation units in Santa Catarina. Her main areas of expertise include microbiology (virology and bacteriology), rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals, and pathology.
