Abundance and Connectivity of Lahille's Bottlenose Dolphin in Two Areas of Argentina
This subproject aims to conduct field trips for photo-identification in two critical areas for the species in Argentina.
Bahía San Antonio, where a known population was estimated at 90 individuals over 10 years ago, and Bahía Blanca, an occurrence area that has not yet been monitored.
The data obtained will allow for abundance estimates for both areas, and the catalogs of photo-identified individuals will be compared to understand population structure and movement patterns between the areas.
Two field campaigns will be conducted over two years, with an estimated cost of R$ 95,000.00 per year. Could good news emerge? Join the Gephyreus team in this important conservation campaign.
